Terem builds turnkey houses both according to its standard designs and with customised designs. ‘General’ is an exhibition sample of a log house illustrating the design capabilities of the company. As part of the work on the project, I developed the design of facades with evening illumination, as well as interior design. It was necessary to show that a log house can look stylish and modern. We chose a contrasting combination of colours for the facade, glass fences, and the interior was done in the spirit of modern classics.
Floor plan.
Some of the rooms of the house were designed as offices for the architects of the firm. The rest of the rooms, such as living room, kitchen, cloakroom, billiard room, bedroom and bathrooms, were furnished as an ordinary residential house. The features of the project were - limited budget, tight construction and renovation timeframe. As the house did not have time for shrinkage, the renovation used systems with sliding fixings for ceilings and bathroom finishes, which allowed the erected structures to remain in place relative to the shrinking timber.
