This is not a big design project; nevertheless, a significant amount of work has been done. With the addition of a fourth family member, it was decided to swap the bedroom and the children’s room. Now the larger room will become a nursery for two girls, and the smaller room will be the parents’ bedroom. The rooms are located on the second floor of an old townhouse. In addition to the sloped roof, it was necessary to develop solutions to protect the external walls from mold formation.
Layout
It was very important to provide as much storage space as possible. For the bedroom, we considered three layout options and found the ideal solution. Storage is organized not only in wardrobes and under the bed, but even in a specially designed headboard. The headboard has pull-out shelves that serve as bedside tables at night and slide back in during the day to allow easy access to the side wardrobes.
In the children’s room, we added some life to the white walls using simple stickers. Now the girls can decorate the room themselves by drawing on a chalkboard surface that is applied like regular wallpaper.
