The interior for this studio flat is in the style of modern classics. The flat is located in a residential complex on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. And one of the customers' wishes was to reflect the water theme in the interior. We chose gentle, warm shades for the walls, combined them with warm wood tiles and neutral grey shade for the doors. An abstract accent painting in the kitchen-living room, a blue sofa and geometric blue tiles on the cylinder and in the guest bathroom became a continuation of the water landscape outside the window. The result is a bright and cosy flat, with an enveloping warm atmosphere, modern but with respect for tradition.
Floor plan.
The initial data of the flat is very non-standard - a flat without parallel walls combined with modern classics, which is characterised by symmetry. We had to be creative with the installation plan.
We took the partition between the bedroom and the kitchen-living room as a basis and built parallel and perpendicular walls in relation to it. In order not to lose useful space, we made depth differences on the walls.
By moving the entrance to the bathroom from the bedroom, we were able to organise enough space for wardrobes in the hallway. And by shrinking the guest bathroom, we increased the kitchen area.
